Volunteer Opportunities We currently have opportunities for after-school tutoring, program assistants, and grounds maintenance. After-school tutoring requires a semester commitment for 1 hour each week. Tutoring hours are generally between 6 and 7 pm. Orientation for the 2009-2010 fall semester occurred in September. If you are interested in turoring next semester, please email Terri Strom at tstrom@peaceneighborhoodcenter.org. Program Assistant requires a once-a-week commitment on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 3:30 and 6 pm. Greeting children, supervising meals and free play time, reading with children, and assisting staff are the main responsibilities.
